Join us for "Open Forum Educational Night" presented through the American Family Children's Hospital Pediatric Hematology, Oncology and Bone Marrow Transplant department.
Tuesday, November 12: Focus on Sickle Cell Anemia - 6-7:30pm
Dr. Ken DeSantes and Sharon Frierdich, RN, MS, CPN will discuss the benefits of bone marrow transplant to treat sickle cell anemia and ways to prevent crisis during the winter months.
These sessions will address issues and topics that help families deal with the overall treatment and care process; and provide forums that will help the staff address patient/family concerns and improve aspects of care and treatment.
"Open Forum Educational Night" sessions are open to all patients over age 18 and families treated at American Family Children's Hospital. All sessions will include a light meal, a presentation, and opportunity for feedback and discussion.
