About

Nicholas (Nick) Von Bergen, MD, is a fellowship trained pediatric cardiac electrophysiologist at UW Health. He treats abnormal heart rhythms in children and in adults with congenital heart disease.

Dr. Von Bergen has experience treating a variety of heart conditions, including Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome, supraventricular tachycardia, inherited arrhythmia, ventricular tachycardia and post-operative arrhythmia.

With a commitment to delivering quality heart care, Dr. Von Bergen has a special interest in developing, adopting and teaching techniques that improve patient safety and treatment effectiveness. In addition, he focuses his clinical research on improving outcomes for patients after heart surgery.

In addition to his work at UW Health, Dr. Von Bergen has traveled to hospitals in Iowa, South Dakota, Minnesota, Washington, Missouri and Nevada to preform procedures and mentor junior electrophysiologists. These trips allow him to help people in other communities and maintain a high clinical volume while expanding his expertise in electrophysiology procedures.
