Prasanna Raman, MD, is a pediatrician at UW Health and an associate professor at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, Department of Pediatrics.

Dr. Raman treats a variety of conditions in infants and children of all ages. She cares for children with conditions ranging from infections, chronic diseases, aches and pains to ADHD, anxiety, depression and acute illnesses.

A fellowship-trained neonatal-perinatal specialist, Dr. Raman offers advanced expertise in treating low birth-weight babies and babies with critical care needs such as breathing problems or life-threatening birth defects. As a general pediatrician, Dr. Raman treats children with common and complex care needs from birth through adolescence and into young adulthood. Her services include routine physicals and well-child checkups.

Dr. Raman has been interested in the sciences from early childhood and considered medical school the next logical step. Pediatric medicine combines her love for science with her love for children and a desire to help others throughout changing stages of life.

Dr. Raman is also In her free time, she enjoys reading, cooking and gardening. She also enjoys exercising, relaxing with friends and spending time with her family. 

I get to know my patients and their families so I can provide the best possible care. I want to be available to take care of their needs — both when they are well and unwell.
