Special care for special kids

UW Health Kids is committed to helping your child be as healthy as possible. Caring for kids is a job we take seriously.

We offer the highest level of care for children when they’re sick. We also encourage well-child visits, education and prevention. Our goals are to help your child be well and to be at your side in times of need. We provide expertise, compassion and the best medical care available.

Note: Not all services are available in all locations.

We provide care and guidance to children who have problems with abnormal clotting and bleeding. This includes girls who have heavy menstrual bleeding.

We offer complete gynecological care for girls of all ages. This includes treatment of menstrual problems and conditions such as endometriosis and ovarian cysts. We also provide contraception, counseling and surgical procedures.

Sometimes kids have symptoms that are hard to diagnose. Many families seek second opinions about their child’s diagnosis or managing a puzzling condition. Doctors in our Pediatric Diagnostic and Consultation Clinic look at challenging situations with a new set of eyes.

We have an emergency department designed for kids. It helps make children and their families more comfortable during what can be a stressful time.
