Several Roads Around University Hospital to be Closed for Construction
- University Bay Drive: From Sept. 14 to Oct. 31, University Bay Drive from Marshall Court to University Ave. will be under construction. This will create significant delays for cars leaving the UW Health and VA Hospital areas while construction takes place. Southbound traffic will be narrowed to a single lane and westbound traffic will need to use Marshall Court.
- Highland Avenue: From Sept. 15 to mid-November, the Hospital Parking Ramp Expansion project will start on the western side of Highland at UW Hospital. This will narrow the road to only one lane in each direction, with no dedicated northbound left turn lane into University Hospital. This will cause road congestion throughout the duration of the project. We suggest using Walnut St. as an alternative route.
- Observatory Drive: On Sept. 15-16, Observatory Drive will be closed between Babcock Drive. and Charter St. Linden Drive is the alternative route.
