Muscular Dystrophy
At UW Health's Pediatric Neuromuscular Disorders Clinic in Madison, Wisconsin, our interdisciplinary team offers a range of services to help assess and manage the symptoms of children with muscular dystrophy, including:
- Physician and occupational therapy to help maintain muscle strength and function
- Bracing or appliances to help improve mobility
- Spinal fusion to help correct scoliosis, and tendon release or tendon transfer surgery to improve physical function
After surgery, our inpatient rehabilitation team works with children to restore activity right away.
