Alex Haunty Art Open House
American Family Children's Hospital lobby.
No registration required.
The works of 24-year-old Alex Haunty, a talented artist who specializes in acrylics on canvas in bright, whimsical colors, will grace the hallways of American Family Children’s Hospital starting with an open house.
Alex, who lives with a cognitive disability, sells his art and then gives a significant portion to the Alex Haunty Theater and Arts Fund, Inc. Proceeds from the fund are used to take people with intellectual disabilities to Broadway shows at the Overture Center. The fund has purchased premier tickets for hundreds of people to see performances including Mary Poppins, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and The Lion King.
As part of the open house, Alex will make remarks at 5:45 p.m. In addition to his art career, Haunty is a college student, advocate, public speaker and works two part-time jobs.
