Dr. Al-Adra is certified by the American Board of Surgery and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. He specializes in Transplant Surgery and performs adult liver transplantation, pediatric liver transplantation, living donor liver transplantation, kidney transplantation and laparoscopic donor nephrectomy. Dr. Al-Adra is also an expert in liver and bile duct surgery for various benign and malignant diseases and offers minimally invasive (laparoscopic) approaches for liver resections.

He has a special interest in the treatment of primary liver cancers (hepatocellular carcinoma and cholangiocarcinoma) and performs liver surgeries that potentially require vascular exclusion and blood vessel reconstruction.

He is an active member of the American Society of Transplant Surgeons, American Society of Transplantation, and the Americas Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association.
