About

Jennifer Drake, PA, is a UW Health physician assistant specializing in orthopedic surgery and sports medicine. Jennifer evaluates and treats sports-related disorders such as shoulder, knee and hip injuries and orthopedic conditions affecting muscles, bones, joints, tendons and ligaments.

Jennifer cares for patients ages 10 years and older in all stages of health and with varying activity levels. She conducts patient evaluations and provides pre-operative care for those who are having surgery.

A large part of Jennifer’s role is to educate patients and families about conditions and treatment options. She answers questions and explains procedures and recovery. She eases any anxieties or fears that patients might have.

Jennifer helps prepare patients for procedures such as minimally invasive large tendon repairs, arthroscopic and reconstructive knee surgery or shoulder replacement surgery. She evaluates each patient’s medical condition to prevent complications and support healthy outcomes.

In her free time, Jennifer enjoys reading, practicing yoga and scuba diving.

I make sure that patients are ready for surgery so they can get back to doing the activities they enjoy.
