Juan Boriosi, MD, is a pediatric critical care doctor at UW Health and an associate professor in the Division of Critical Care at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, Department of Pediatrics. He treats medically unstable children with life-threatening conditions, such as complex heart disease, severe asthma, diabetes and infections.
Dr. Boriosi has a clinical interest in caring for children with life-threatening congenital heart disease. He is also skilled at performing pediatric sedation for painful or stressful procedures such as MRIs (magnetic resonance imaging), spinal taps, bone marrow biopsies and other medical procedures.
His research focuses on helping children through difficult procedures with the least amount of sedatives necessary.
In his free time, Dr. Boriosi enjoys road biking in the summer and cross-country skiing in the winter.
I enjoy helping sick children recover from life-threatening illnesses. Helping children feel better is very rewarding.
