Laura Berkner, PA

Laura Berkner, PA, is a UW Health physician assistant. Laura sees both children and adults and provides care for acute health concerns, such as colds, flu and allergies. Laura also cares for people with minor injuries, such as fractures or burns. She has a special clinical interest in geriatric medicine.  

Laura believes that one of her most important clinical skills is being a good listener. This allows her to really understand what’s happening with her patients and read between the lines of what’s going on in their lives and health situations. She works to educate each patient about their health condition and her suggested care plan, so they can move forward into becoming the healthiest version of themselves possible. 

Outside of work, Laura enjoys gardening, listening to music and spending time with her large dogs.

I love connecting with patients and figuring out who they are and what they like. I strive to find a connection with them, so I can make them comfortable and work to solve their problem.
