About

Shari Clark, LAT, is a UW Health licensed athletic trainer specializing in sports rehabilitation. Shari evaluates and treats sports-related injuries to the shoulder, elbow, hip, knee, ankle and foot. She trains athletes with a focus on sports biomechanics (analyzing the person’s mechanical movements for errors and faults). This technique helps to prevent injuries and allow a safe return to physical activities.

Shari’s advanced training, skills and interests include working with runners and cross-country skiers. She provides preventive and rehabilitative treatments, including manual therapies and dry needling. This technique involves inserting fine needles into skin and muscles to treat pain and other sports-related conditions.

Listening to patients and their family members is an important part of Shari’s approach to patient care. By understanding their needs, interests and concerns, she helps them achieve personal goals and experience successful treatment results.

I saw firsthand how members of my family were cared for in rehabilitation. I wanted to do the same work to help others in similar ways.
