About

Thomas Rizzo, PT, is a doctor of physical therapy at UW Health. He provides orthopedic physical therapy for patients with tendinopathy (swelling or pain in tendons due to overuse), joint stiffness and muscle strains.

Thomas has a special clinical interest in conservative care of the shoulder, knee, neck, lower back, foot and ankle. He also treats patients concerned about their posture or balance.

Thomas creates evidence-based treatment plans that are in line with his patients’ values. He believes the healing process involves targeted exercises and open discussions about lifestyle modifications and behaviors.

In his free time, Thomas enjoys exploring state parks, kayaking and reading.

My goal is always to restore function and help patients manage the anatomical origins of their orthopedic pain.
