Radiothon Raises $613,358 for American Family Children's Hospital
Madison, Wisconsin - A 3-day, 39-hour radio broadcast on Mid-West Family Broadcasting radio stations raised $613,358 during the 9th annual American Family Children’s Hospital Radiothon.
The pledges support the hospital's Sick Kids Can't Wait campaign as well as programs that support patients and families during their hospitalization. During the 3-day broadcast, former and current patients, some of the most seriously ill children, and their family members told their personal stories.
Radiothon featured Candy and Potter from Today's Q-106 and Fish from 93.1 JAMZ and personalities from other Mid-West Family stations including Magic 98, the Zone, La Movida and WJJO.
Sick Kids Can’t Wait is a $32 million building project to meet the growing needs of the children’s hospital as well as the health care needs of children in Wisconsin. The project will add a total of 26 beds in pediatric intensive care, another operating room and imaging capabilities all designed and equipped specifically for pediatric patients.
