Sleeping Accommodations: Staying With Your Child

At the American Family Children's Hospital, we recognize how important it may be to stay with your child at the hospital.

One parent or parent designee per child can stay overnight in the patient's room.

For families in the pediatric intensive care unit (PICU), there are an additional five sleeping rooms, sponsored by the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Madison. The rooms offer a quiet, comfortable place for mom or dad to sleep overnight.

Every day we help determine which parents need to stay, and we make changes depending on the needs of the patient. First priority is given to patients whose illnesses are most serious.
