Flashes of Hope Upcoming 2015 Dates
More About the Program
As you may know, American Family Children’s Hospital hosts the Flashes of Hope Program monthly. Flashes of Hope is a national program, and we are lucky enough to have our own chapter, right here in Madison at AFCH. This is a free program that you can participate in just by signing up!
Flashes of Hope is a national nonprofit organization that creates free uplifting portraits of children and their families fighting cancer or other chronic/life-altering illnesses.
Photo shoots are held right here at the hospital! Photographs, taken by award-winning photographers, help children feel better about their changing appearance by celebrating it. Children are photographed individually and with their biggest supporters-siblings and parents.
Have You Had Your Free Flashes of Hope Photo Taken?
In exchange for a little bit of your time, and some great smile you will receive professional, black and white portraits in a leather portfolio, multiple 4x6 snapshot photos and a CD of all of the photos that were taken, including a letter signed by the photographer that releases the rights for photos for you to reprint as needed.
To schedule a photo shoot date/time for your child/family, please contact:
Patient/Family Liaison PHO/BMT
The photo shoots are held at American Family Children’s Hospital. Photo shoots are scheduled from 2-5pm, with the last time slot of 4:30pm. Typically the entire process for the family takes 30 minutes including signing consents, getting hair touched-up, taking photos, etc.
