Scholarship for Childhood Cancer Survivors

The "Beyond the Cure" scholarship program advances the mission of the National Children's Cancer Society of improving the quality of life for children with cancer by improving the capacity of childhood cancer survivors to attend college. The NCCS will award stipends of up to $5,000 per academic year to college bound or enrolled cancer survivors who have illustrated the ability to overcome the difficult challenges of childhood cancer with determination and motivation. Health Insurance for Children Under 19

BadgerCare is a state of Wisconsin program for children under the age of 19 who want and need health insurance. BadgerCare has increased its coverage population base. Many families who were not eligible before could be eligible under the expanded program. Therefore, if your insurance has extremely high deductibles or you have no insurance and were ineligible for BadgerCare before, consider re-applying. Additional coverage may be available in the spring of 2009 for young adults. Apply through your local Department of Human/Social Services or online at http://www.badgercareplus.org/index.htm
