Pediatric Gastroenterology
American Family Children's Hospital's pediatric gastroenterologists in Madison, Wisconsin provide evaluation and treatment for a wide range of gastrointestinal and hepatologic disorders. With expertise provided by three physicians, two nurse practitioners, a physician assistant, two registered nurses and a pediatric-registered dietician, our clinic manages complex and chronic gastrointestinal disease.

This team of professionals offers care through a specialized outpatient clinic and at the bedside at  American Family Children's Hospital, as well as the Children's Health Center at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Appleton, all in an effort to improve the quality of life for children with gastrointestinal and hepatologic disorders throughout the Midwest. 
  • Evaluation and treatment of abdominal pain, Celiac disease, constipation, Crohn's disease, diarrhea, Eosinophilic esophagitis, gastroesophageal reflux, Failure to Thrive, Hirschsprung's disease, infant cow's milk intolerance, peptic ulcers and ulcerative colitis
  • Management of liver disease, including hepatitis (B, C and autoimmune), alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency and liver transplantation consultation
  • Nutritional support and services, including percutaneous endoscopic placement of feeding tubes and support for underweight infants and children
