Amazing Kids, Amazing Stories: Joe's Story

Changing Lives
With an impish smile and a bright outlook, Joe Browne is an inspiration to everyone he meets. Particularly given the challenges he's already faced in his young life.
Joe was born 16 weeks early, weighing only one pound, thirteen ounces. He has Cerebral Palsy and during cancer treatments at the age of four, he suffered a stroke that forced him to relearn how to eat and talk all over again.

Because of his advanced needs, Joe began receiving specialized treatment at American Family Children's Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin.
According to Amy Browne, Joe's mother, "It's night and day the things he's able to do in therapy. And it seems like every time we come back here, there's something new, something more they can tell us to do to increase that quality of life for him."
