Quick Pancake or Waffle Breakfast

Pancakes: Use a complete pancake mix (“just add water”) that has whole wheat flour as the first ingredient, such as Krusteaz Wheat & Honey. Increase protein content by adding egg and milk instead of water.
 
Waffles: Use frozen waffles that have at least 3 grams of fiber and 5 grams of protein per serving such as Vans or Eggo Whole Wheat. Or make your own and freeze for busy mornings.

As alternatives to using syrup, try these toppings:

Vanilla yogurt and berries, sliced peaches or other fruit
Peanut butter and bananas
Diced apple or blueberries added to batter
Nutella Hazelnut spread
