Our clinic specializes in the diagnosis, management and treatment of bleeding and clotting conditions including management of abnormal menstrual bleeding, contraception, surgery and emergency treatment planning.
When to Call Us
- Menstrual bleeding needing change in protection (pad, tampon) more often than every 2 hours
- Menstrual bleeding that affects your ability to do usual activities
- Anytime you are seen urgently for a bleeding problem
- If you have a diagnosed bleeding disorder or family history of a bleeding disorder
The Adolescent Bleeding and Clotting Disorders Clinic is open Monday-Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm. Please call the clinic during these hours at (608) 890-9493 with any questions or concerns about your health.
In the event of an emergency, call 911. For urgent questions or concerns after clinic hours, please call (608) 263-0486. You will be connected to our answering service. They will contact the pediatric hematologist on call.
Our team includes pediatric hematology and adolescent medicine providers and specially trained nursing staff. We also provide consultation with experts in gynecology, nutrition, genetic counseling, social work and pharmacy.
