American Family Children's Hospital Offers Forum for Nurses and Medical Assistants

Nurses and medical assistants interested in learning more about the UW’s American Family Children’s Hospital may want to participate in an educational forum at the hospital in Madison.

The half-day sessions, which include a tour of the Children’s Hospital, will be offered on a monthly basis beginning in September.

“These forums are an excellent way for nurses and medical assistants to learn about the comprehensive services available at American Family Children’s Hospital,” says Barbara Byrne, director of pediatric nursing.

Each four-hour session includes several 30-minute segments highlighting pediatric subspecialties such as trauma, hematology/oncology, cardiothoracic surgery, neurology and many others.

For more information about the forums, including how to enroll, please contact Lori Klitzke, Provider Relations Coordinator, at (608) 263-8013 or lklitzke@uwhealth.org.
