Promote Healthy Communities through Population Health

The American Family Children's Hospital is a partner in the Madison Area Safe Kids Child Passenger Safety program. This program was started to educate families on proper installation of their child restraints and also to assist families from a predefined at-risk population in providing their children with current best practice child passenger safety, a first step in reducing childhood deaths and injuries caused by motor vehicle crashes.

The majority of families served were also enrolled in the Women, Infants and Children (WIC) program. Since the start of the program, 3,680 restraints have been donated. The data below is from the period of 1/1/12-12/31/13.
